This is a shot taken from beside a building of some cars parked beside the curb.
The center of the picture is taken up with the red glow and flames that engulfing a large van. Behind the van, parked back to back with it, is a police vehicle, its red light on top flashing, and headlights turned on. In front of the police car and at the far right of the picture is a blue post box.
The foreground is littered with many hundreds of papers and dust. It could be a scene from a rubbish dump. Gray or brown dust obscures any sign of paving. On top of this single paper, twisted up, are lying.
Above the glow of the fire is dark and foggy. Some light seems to be filtering through in the top right corner, but is very pale.
A rubbish bin at the bottom right has a red tape attached to it. It appears to be designed to cordon off an area.
