The Pentagon appears to be five stories tall. This picture shows the entire height of one wall and a length of about fifty metres.
A section from the roof to the ground has collapsed. One end has been cleanly severed from the building. The other end of this section, perhaps twenty metres away, is still connected to the building. As a result the roof and all floors sag towards the ground.
On the left, where the break is fairly clean, the shape of walls and rooms can be seen. The right hand collapsed section shows some collapsed partitions and wall supports.
In the foreground are two fire engines and a crane labelled 'Springfield'.
Two men stand behind the gap on the roof of the ring behind the collapsed outer ring.
